Why should we write Argumentative Essay?

Argumentative essay is kind of essay to show our opinion or argument by a case or an issue. We not only give information but also present an argument with supporting ideas and opposing ideas of an argumentative issue.

Many reasons why should we write argumentative essay? First, show our opinion or reaction when we read cases in newspaper or magazine. Second, persuade an opposing audience to adopt new beliefs or behavior. We should clearly take our stand and write as we are trying to persuade. Third, trying to convince someone to agree with a claim you are making and for which you are offering logical arguments. Fourth, show how the real story happened. So when the readers read our write, they can know the story happened.

Argumentative essay is necessary to help us criticize about issues. If you write with argumentative essay you can show your opinion and the readers who read your write will be know and understand your mean. So, show your opinion with write argumentative essay and you will be proud.

7th Assignment_narrative: Past Experience

My Most Embarrassing Moment

When I was six, first grade in my elementary school I was celebrated my birthday 6 anniversary with my parents. They invited me to go one of shops in Malioboro. They want gift me a dress so they invited me with them. I’m very happy walked around with them.

Until there they choose dresses that suitable for me. Firstly they held my hand to looking for the dress. They very busy to looking for it. My mother said me “don’t go anywhere, I and your father will ask to a sales clerk”. I had waited for a long time but, my parents don’t come back. Finally, I walked around alone in the shop. I looked a lot of dress and I tried to find my parents. I’m still don’t found yet them. Where are my parents? I’m lost in the shop. At that time I didn’t cried but, I tried to go in information centre to looking for my parents. At information centre I asked help. I said to one of employees there that I’m lost, I missed my parents. Please help me.

Finally they came at information centre before announced that I missed my parents. They found me alone there. They worried me. Ugh…. Unforgettable experience for me. Until now my parents still remember about it. I’m very shy if I remember it. he…he…he..^_^

6th Assignment_Narrative: Daily Activities

My Daily Activies

I am a student of Sanata Dharma University. I have daily activity in my life. I will tell you about it. OK let’s see…

I get up at 5 o’clock every morning. I clean up my beds and prepare to pray in the morning. After that I prepare my today’s schedule and look what today’s syllabus. I try to read my lessons before I go to campus. I take a bath at 5.30 and my mother prepares my breakfast before I go to campus. I’m ready to having breakfast and my mother call me to having breakfast. At 6 o’clock I breakfast with my younger sister because she also going to school. After all ready I take to leave my parents.

I go to campus at 6.30 by motorcycle. From my house to campus is about 15-20 minutes. At midday I finished my lecture and I come back to house. I wash my hand and foot. After that I having lunch and take a nap until 2 hours. In the afternoon at 4.30 my mother woke up me to sweep the floor. I wake up and sweep the floor. I watch television is about 30 minutes and at 5.30 I take a bath in the afternoon. I prepare to pray in the afternoon.

At 6.30 p.m. I have dinner with my family. At 7 p.m. I starting to study and doing my homework. At 10 p.m. I finished it. I pray in the night. I prepare my tomorrow’s schedule. I go to bed after it and I always hope to get nice dream….

Crazy Agency

My house my palace, may be it's suitable idiom to describe how beautiful or how comfortable our house. Whatever the shape and however beautifully or not it's our house that we are always living there. The house is a place to protect from sunlight, raining, noon, and night.

It's same with me. I also have a house that always protect me and my family from that. Although my house is simple, but I felt comfort to living there. My house in Tegalrejo, Yogyakarta city. From my college is about twenty minutes. The location of my house is strategic because located in central city. If you want to go in Malioboro, you only need approximate five or ten minutes. If you want to looking for secondhand things with cheapest price you can go to “Klithikan Market Pakuncen” in Wirobrajan. And if you are going to the others city you can go to “Tugu railway station” only five minutes from my house. Oh ya guys, do you feel hungry and want to eat special food? Don't worry guys! My house also near to “Waroeng Steak” in front of Klithikan market Pakuncen and once more an restaurant with Thailand food is “Phuket Restaurant”. Not only that my house near to supermarket like “Giant” in Godean street and many more....

Everythings available near from my house. So you never disappointed if you walking around to Yogyakarta. Simple, but strategic to go everywhere. Please visited and you will find your happimess. I will take you walking around in my beloved city, Yogyakarta.

My Favorite Lecturer

English Language Education Study program (ELESP) of Sanata Dharma University has many lecturers, from younger to elder, single to married and easygoing to serious. When they teach us, they have differences personalities and appearances. They also fluent when give explanation to us.

I am a student in ELESP who study in semester two. Since I study in semester one, I knew several lecturers. But, only two who are the most favorite to me. They are a man and woman. I would like to describe the woman because if I describe the man that I mean, you can guess it. Ok guys; let’s see my description of the person below!

My favorite lecturer is woman. She teaches several courses in ELESP. She is medium-height. She has a black short hair, dark brown skin and dark eyes. She is about thirties. She is also fat. She is always wearing a long shirt and trousers. When she’s going to teach, she always takes two bags and sometimes in the class she asks us to sing a song. Sing aloud and make movements. He…he…he…

Do you know who is person? Can you imagine that? If don’t yet, I will describe it again. She is easy going, flexible, and friendly person. She is also sociable with her students and doesn’t need a long time to memorize the name of the students. She is always confident to show herself, but not conceited. Just a kidding to make the situation in the class becomes fun.

I like this lecturer, her personalities, her appearances, and the way she teaches her students. She makes me enjoy to joining the class. I hope all of the lecturers can make the situation of the class fun and enjoyable.

How petroleum was formed

A lot of natural resources, such as soil, petroleum, oil, etc. must be keep savely. Petroleum is non renewable resources and rare. If it's used up we need million years to produce it again.

The petroleum we obtain today was formed under the ground for many million of years. In the past, small animal living in the sea sank to the seabed when they died. Layers of these creatures built up over one millions of years, and the actions of heat, pressure and bacteria turned their bodies into petroleum. The petroleum spread through porous rocks until it came to impervious rocks. In this way, pockets of petroleum were formed beneath the ground. Over many thousand of years, this land rose above the sea, and deposits of oil are now found on or near land.

Oil companies employ scientist to study rocks and discover where oil is likely to be found. It seems likely that oil exists beneath their feet; they will drill a narrow hole to find out whether there is any oil. They maybe unsuccessful; if a new field is being explored, there is one chance in nine of discovering petroleum.

Many kind electronics that use to listen to music, such as mp3, mp4,

cell phone or computer.

But, the most that I like is mp4. And do you know why?

I have a mp4 player that I brought everywhere.

I'm very interest with my mp4 player.

It was bought by my boyfriend because I want it for a long time.

So he gift me this mp4.

I like the specification. The trademark is "ADVANCE M7-1B"

with 1 GB capacity.

It does have radio FM tuner, voice recording, photo and text viewer,

USB flash disk,

LCD TFT display 1,5", built in speaker, and Lithium battery inside.

It is slim rectangle and the size is medium small.

It has a black color and made of kind of plastic.

On the below the screen has six buttons.

They are a menu button, a play button, a previous

track button, a next track button, and two volume buttons

in right and left side.

There are a hole charger and port USB beside a power button

and also a hole for headset

below those six buttons.

On the backside there are a hole speaker and a kind of painted art.

I fill it with music especially my favorite songs like

David Archuleta's songs

(crush and a little too not over you) and many more....

I really like my mp4. If I felt bored I turn it on and I'll be fun again.

When I waited for a long time or have a break time in campus,

usually I spend my free time to listen my favorite songs.

I like my mp4 very much and I'll keep it safely.

my first task

I have a cousin, her name is Elisabeth Denis Setiani. She is 23 years old. I like her not from face, appearance or something else. But, from her mind. The way to solve problems and her mind is adult. Sometimes I ask to help teach me if I don't know or don't understand.
A month ago she told me that she recent from her job because she will continue to study in Gadjah Mada University. I'm very surprise heard it. She is very smart because brave to decide recent from her job.
